As we have entered the new year of 2024, it's important to be cautious about setting too many expectations for ourselves. As a therapist, I believe that it's wise to conserve our energy for dealing with the challenges that come with the season, rather than overwhelming ourselves with too many resolutions.
On the other hand, spring is the perfect time for new beginnings and growth, both physically and emotionally. It's a season of renewal, and an opportunity to start fresh, to let go of the past, and move on to new things.
So, my advice is to take it easy and not to put too much pressure on yourself. Give yourself time to adjust to the new year and the challenges that come with it. Remember, growth is a gradual process, and it's okay to take small steps towards your goals.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. We tend to forget due to the day to day challenges of life. Great reminder..
Stacy, this new chapter of your expertise as a professional therapist is going to raise so much awareness for mental health. Your passion and determination will no doubt have an impact on so many lives. I'm sure your clients will appreciate the uplifting support and care that you'll inspire. You are an ANGEL!
I completely agree! A lot of people aren’t able to follow through on New Year’s resolutions because they are expecting too much of themselves all at once. It is okay to take small steps towards new goals.
Beautiful message and wise counsel. The New Year can be an exciting, yet stressful time. It’s so comforting to be encouraged to slow down and not cave into setting too many goals and expectations. Although, prior planning and goal setting are great accountability and productivity practices; they can also be discouraging if you don’t accomplish them. Unrealistic expectations are real. This blog gave me encouragement and motivation to “take it easy”…. One day at a time…..a steady pace still keeps you in the race.
I love you Sweet Thang. You are an amazing spirit.
Thank you for these great words. You are spot on when saying growth is a gradual process and that small steps are ok.
